The hospital in Myronivka has become more accessible to wheelchair users. The tracked stairlift, worth UAH 200,000, was purchased under the “Time to Act, Ukraine!” competition run by MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation, jointly with Myronivka City Council.<\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n

At Myronivka Rehabilitation Hospital, the equipment now takes patients to any floor of the building, reaching the treatment rooms and rehabilitation halls. It will serve veterans, elderly patients and other visitors with reduced mobility.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The building’s structure rules out a lift or a ramp, which left some rooms and halls difficult to reach. The hospital therefore opted for a stairlift that climbs flights of stairs without any structural alterations. MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation covered half the cost of the equipment, and Myronivka City Council provided the other half under a co-funding arrangement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“For someone recovering from an injury, a flight of stairs should never stand between them and their treatment. The solution came from the doctors and residents themselves, in a building that left no other options. These are precisely the initiatives we support: the community puts forward the idea, and we help bring it to life as partners. Inclusion begins with decisions that improve everyday life,” said Volodymyr Zabela, Director of MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Medical staff now find it easier to accompany patients between floors. More than 50 patients are expected to use the stairlift each year.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Accessibility is part of our daily work, and this stairlift is one step in it. A hospital must provide equal conditions for everyone. That matters all the more today for veterans and serving personnel, for older people and for anyone whose mobility is temporarily impaired. This is not the first time we have worked with MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation on changes that residents notice straight away,” said Dmytro Zhukotanskyi, First Deputy Mayor of Myronivka.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

At the opening, guests were shown how the stairlift works. Representatives of the Foundation, the city council and the hospital’s management spoke with veterans and patients who will be using the equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n
