\"\"<\/center>Experts from the NGOs “Ukrainian Investment and Trade Promotion Center” and “Step to People” and the charitable foundation “MHP-Gromadi” have created an online platform for gender-sensitive community recovery called “My Community”. This is a website where representatives of the community, business and the public sector will be able to find a step-by-step plan for the implementation of social projects.<\/p>\n

According to the results of the study “Portrait of Ukrainian Women Entrepreneurs”, in 2022, almost all respondents found the war impacted their business activities, the vast majority of whom noted direct and indirect losses totaling between $2.5 to $125 thousand as a result of the conflict. Therefore, in order to promote effective and gender-sensitive reconstruction of the territories, the online platform “My Community” was developed, which combines step-by-step actions and directions for further support for reconstruction efforts.<\/p>\n

The website presents step-by-step checklists for interaction between local authorities, NGOs\/CFs and businesses. This includes answers to questions including where to start restoring\/developing your community, information gathering guidance (determining a community\u2019s values, opportunities, resources and most importantly – needs) and advice on how the business and public sector should interact alongside the opportunities available to each party. In addition, the platform also contains links to the pages of institutions and international programs that offer certain grants for project implementation.<\/p>\n

“After the victory, communities will face even more challenges (from security to food) – and much will depend on how local community leaders build cooperation between different parties. Therefore, we have prepared a platform in advance that will give communities an understanding of where to start, where to move and what the results can be (based on successful cases),” explains Tetiana Volochay, director of the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation.<\/p>\n

The platform is currently at the testing stage and the project designers have invited feedback and suggestions for improving the site from communities, small businesses and activists . Suggestions can be sent to the authors’ email addresses listed on the website with the subject line [My hromada: suggestions\/feedback].<\/p>\n

Once it has passed testing the website will be made available to communities across Ukraine and will be \u00a0regularly updated and supplemented with further guidance.<\/p>\n

The online platform “My Community” was developed within the framework of the program “WE ACT: Acting for Women and their Opportunities”<\/strong>, which is implemented by the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA with the financial support of the European Union. One of the goals of the program is to comprehensively strengthen the fight against gender-based violence at the local level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
