What Hinders IDPs from Integrating into New Communities?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>October 2022 It marks the eighth month of Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The town square of Ladyzhyn, Vinnytsia region, is buzzing with people. In a few moments, locals, IDPs, and soldiers will join voices with KOZAK SYSTEM band to sing Ukrainian songs. These street concerts, part of the nationwide tour \u201cSinging for Victory\u201d, are held in various Ukrainian cities. Such initiatives not only uplift spirits and inspire, but also foster the integration of IDPs into small towns, like Ladyzhyn, which alone hosts over 3,000 IDPs.<\/p>\n<p>Cultural events are just one piece of the puzzle that helps forge social bonds among IDPs in communities. However, for a systematic approach, it\u2019s crucial to understand the factors that impede this process. That\u2019s why we, in collaboration with CSO Horizon of Change and our foundation, conducted a study on the integration of IDPs in Ukraine and abroad.
