On June 30, the second charity quadrathon \u201cRUN 4 VICTORY\u201d was held in Vinnytsia. This year, it was organized by the All-Ukrainian Physical Culture and Sports Society \u201cKolos\u201d and the sports community \u201cCharacter\u201d in cooperation with MHP to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

More than 800 participants of various ages and fitness levels ran one of the 2, 5, 10, and 21 km distances in Vyshensky Park or joined the race online. And the youngest marathon participants ran 200, 400, or 800 meters.<\/p>\n

All participants’ contributions were transformed into donations. MHP added funds to the money gathered. Together, we managed to collect funds for 30 FPV drones (estimated cost of UAH 500,000) for the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk.<\/p>\n

The event became part of the \u201cRUN 4 VICTORY\u201d running league and was supported by the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration, the city council, and I-VIN, the partner. The objective of this large-scale sports event was to collect UAH 1.5 million via registration fees, which would then be allocated to fund requests from military units and area defense battalions in each city where the races were held.<\/p>\n

Serhii Dobrohorskyi, deputy chief executive director for agribusiness, MHP:<\/strong> \u201cThe international company MHP initiated the \u201cRUN 4 VICTORY\u201d running league to unite the efforts of businesses and communities in their support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is the second symbolic race<\/a> involving teams of all the company’s enterprises from 12 regions of Ukraine. In my opinion, it is a proper initiative. The distance is not important, as the main point is that we unite and jointly help our military. It is about team spirit and the desire to move forward under any circumstances. Running involves goal commitment, discipline, and endurance. These qualities affect the results we achieve both in work and business. It is also important for the country, as our activities affect both the state budget and the development of the country as a whole.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Oleksandr Pakholiuk, director of the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation, noted:<\/strong> \u201cThe main objective of this race is to help the military and unite communities. To prove the possibility of helping even this way, to show that there are no small distances, just like there are no minor donations. Thus, the Vinnytsia race is to support the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. Currently, the brigade needs additional equipment to carry out combat tasks, and we procured it with the funds collected from registration fees. This race proves once again: we run together \u2013 we help together! Everyone’s participation in \u201cRUN 4 VICTORY\u201d is a contribution to help our defenders. MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation invites everyone to join the next races to be held in Cherkasy and Ladyzhyn and to prove that together we are a force!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Volodymyr Prokopchuk, director of the Vinnytsia MHP Hub:<\/strong> \u201cOur MHP Hub took up the race from the Western Hub, and today we held it in Vinnytsia. Still, this event is yet another proof of the unity, cohesion, and endurance of all Ukrainians. After all, we not only run but also donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Each participant contributed, and all funds collected will be allocated to procure drones and other means of protection for the military of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Ya. Handziuk. This race is yet another example that MHP and the Vinnytsia MHP Hub are socially responsible companies. We are not only concerned about the country’s food security but also the population’s well-being in the communities of our presence, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Since February 24, 2022, our priority has been support to defenders. Most Hub employees took part in the race. Many of them ran with their families. They all selected a distance according to their fitness level. With our example, we wish to prove that you don’t have to be an athlete to run.
