The MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation<\/strong> has received Gold and Silver awards<\/strong> at the international Partnership for Sustainability Award 2025<\/strong>, organized by the UN Global Compact Ukraine<\/strong>\u2014one of the most prestigious distinctions in the field of sustainable development and ESG.<\/p>\n

The Gold award<\/strong> was presented to the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation in the category \u201cVeterans: Strength and Unity\u201d<\/strong> for the support program for military personnel, veterans, and their families, \u201cMHP Poriuch\u201d<\/strong> (\u201cMHP by Your Side\u201d).
The Silver award<\/strong> in the category \u201cEconomic Resilience and Growth\u201d<\/strong> was granted by the international jury to the \u201cCommunity Leaders School\u201d<\/strong> project, aimed at developing managerial and project competencies of local leaders and strengthening the economic resilience of communities.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

In 2025, 150 applications from 22 countries<\/strong> were submitted for the award. Ninety-three projects<\/strong> were selected as finalists, marking a record in the award\u2019s history. The projects were evaluated by an independent international jury with experts from Harvard University<\/strong>, the London School of Economics<\/strong>, the World Economic Forum<\/strong>, and the Basel Institute on Governance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis award is about the effectiveness of solutions that work in real wartime conditions. Through the Foundation\u2019s activities, we are building a systematic and comprehensive support system for military personnel, veterans, their families, and communities, with a focus on long-term impact. Recognition by the international jury confirms that such approaches create real change and can be scaled through partnerships.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCommunity Leaders School\u201d: Strengthening Community Capacity<\/h2>\n

In wartime conditions, Ukrainian communities are taking on increasing responsibility\u2014from supporting veterans to ensuring energy efficiency and working with youth. That is why the development of local leadership is critically important for the country\u2019s resilience.<\/p>\n

The \u201cCommunity Leaders School\u201d<\/strong> is an educational and grant-based program of the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation<\/strong> for community representatives working to expand opportunities at the local level. In 2025, the total grant budget of the program amounts to UAH 10 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The project is implemented by the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation<\/strong> in partnership with MHP<\/strong> and Mariupol State University<\/strong>. Its goal is to strengthen the managerial and project competencies of local leaders and help communities turn ideas into sustainable, effective solutions in the context of full-scale war and recovery.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor us, community development is a component of the country\u2019s long-term resilience strategy. We focus on supporting leaders capable of implementing change at the local level. The \u2018Community Leaders School\u2019 creates conditions in which these ideas are transformed into practical solutions with long-term impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMHP Standing Together\u201d: Systemic Support for Military Personnel and Veterans<\/h2>\n

The \u201cMHP Standing Together\u201d<\/strong> program has been implemented by the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation<\/strong> since May 2023 as a comprehensive support system for military personnel, veterans, and their families. It covers MHP employees as well as residents of the communities where the company operates and provides individual support during military service and after returning from the frontline.<\/p>\n

In autumn 2023, the Center for Interaction with Military Personnel and Veterans<\/strong> was launched as part of the program, coordinating medical, legal, and psychological assistance, rehabilitation, and professional adaptation. A free support hotline 4545<\/strong> is also in operation.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

As of today, 2,965 MHP employees<\/strong> are serving in the Defense Forces of Ukraine, while 957 veterans<\/strong> are currently employed by the company. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, mobilized MHP employees have received more than UAH 2.8 billion<\/strong> in salary payments. Within the program, more than 500 activities<\/strong> have been conducted with the participation of over 21,000<\/strong> military personnel, veterans, and their family members, and more than 5,200 requests<\/strong> have received individual support and practical solutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor MHP, sustainable development is about responsibility to people. We systematically support defenders and their families\u2014from the period of service to return and adaptation\u2014and invest in community development so that people have opportunities for life, work, and recovery. During wartime, business must be a pillar where it is truly needed. This daily work, partnerships, and concrete actions became the foundation of the projects recognized by the UN Global Compact. For us, this recognition confirms that we are moving in the right direction and reinforces our responsibility to move forward together with the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
