The competition is designed to support small and medium-sized businesses in the food service sector across Ukrainian cities and villages. It enables entrepreneurs to upgrade equipment, introduce new services, relocate or open additional outlets, and scale their businesses.
Pan Babun bakery has been operating in Vinnytsia since 2025. What started as a small bakery later expanded its product range, launched sales at a local shopping centre and established partnerships with local coffee shops.

Founder Liliia Kolodieieva won the competition with her business idea, “Pan Babun Bakes Bread”. MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation provided a UAH 250,000 grant, while the entrepreneur invested an additional UAH 270,000 of her own funds. The total project value amounted to UAH 520,000.

The grant was used to purchase a professional deck oven. With the new equipment, the bakery is developing a dedicated line of naturally fermented sourdough breads and buns. This also creates opportunities to expand B2B supplies to coffee shops and local retailers.
The expansion is expected to create three new jobs: two baker positions and one delivery driver position.
Galaxy Game Club & Café, founded by entrepreneur and chef Tetiana Khudchenko, combines a family café with a gaming area and a VR space used for educational and entertainment activities.

By winning the competition, the business received the maximum grant of UAH 500,000. The team invested a further UAH 943,000 of its own funds, bringing the total project value to UAH 1,443,000.

“Our venue promotes a culture of healthy eating among young people. Another priority is to improve the quality of services available in the region while supporting Ukrainian producers, which is why we have integrated products from the Kurator range into our menu,” said Tetiana Khudchenko, owner of Galaxy Game Club & Café. “Our team also undergoes regular professional training because we understand how important continuous development is in this business.”
The owners upgraded the equipment, expanded the menu and launched a full-cycle kitchen. The new professional equipment helps automate kitchen operations and maintain high food safety standards. The venue will also host culinary workshops for children.

“We systematically support small and medium-sized businesses in local communities. Entrepreneurs create jobs, invest in the development of their businesses and strengthen local economies. It is particularly important for us to support those who are prepared not only to attract grant funding but also to invest their own resources in their ideas. Scaling a business during wartime contributes to community resilience and the country’s recovery,” said Volodymyr Zabela, Director of MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation.

In total, the 2025 “Do Your Thing with HoReCa Masters” competition received 51 applications: 24 in the Street & Casual Food category and 27 in the Middle Segment category. Following several stages of selection, five entrepreneurs from different regions of Ukraine received grant support. Grants ranged from UAH 250,000 to UAH 500,000, with a total grant fund of up to UAH 2.5 million.
The “Do Your Thing with HoReCa Masters” competition continues an initiative launched in 2024. This is the second joint competition organised by MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation and the Kurator brand. It also aims to build a professional HoReCa community and connect entrepreneurs who are developing Ukraine’s food service culture.
