GOVERNMENT OF JAPAN FOR TROSTYANETS HOSPITAL

28 june 2022

Whilst the war has forced many Ukrainians to reprioritise and adjust to living in a warzone the conflict has not stopped essential humanitarian initiatives in the country. MHP are determined to do our bit and have been partnering with the health sector to help ensure urgently needed medical supplies are delivered to the front line.

The Government of Japan, under the Kusanone program, has generously provided financial support to purchase a modern ultrasound machine for the Trostyanets Hospital in the Vinnytsia region with a total cost of 2.1 million UAH. We have heard from the hospital’s doctors that the diagnostic capacity of this model is much higher than any of its existing equipment, with a wider arrange of uses as they can be used to examine almost all human internal organs. The ultrasound machine has been used at the hospital since the end of April and has already examined more than 100 people.

Specialists from MHP-Gromadi Foundation assisted the hospital in submitting its application to the Kusanone program and providing wider support this fantastic project. The Foundation has longstanding links with Trostyanets Hospital, which serves about 35 000 patients, supporting it by renovating windows, donating medical equipment and reconstructing the intensive care unit. The Trostyanets village community has been working with our foundation for a long time and we are proud of our collaborative work regenerating the town through improvements to the square, the park, the cultural centеr, the music school and a renovated sports complex.
