The fourth RUN 4 VICTORY race with more than 700 participants, including 110 children, was held in Ladyzhyn
The final of the RUN 4 VICTORY quad marathon: more than UAH 600,000 was raised to aid the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On October 6, 2024, Ladyzhyn hosted the fourth race within the RUN 4 VICTORY sports events organized by the “Character” sports community and the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation. The event attracted more than 700 participants. 13 veterans of the Russian-Ukrainian war took part in the race at different distances. All funds collected from registration fees were allocated to support Ukrainian defenders — in total, more than UAH 600,000 were raised to help the military.
This race was the next phase of a series of events held in different cities of Ukraine, each aimed at supporting our defenders and strengthening community unity. In Ladyzhyn, participants competed at distances of 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km, as well as at children’s distances. During the sports event, there were fairs from the city’s education department, the “Heritage” Creativity Center, and from the village Basalychivka on the city square. Master classes from the YUNI NGO. Each race participant could taste a delicious lunch from the “MeatMarket” chain and shawarma from Döner Market. Oleksandr Pakholiuk, director of the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation, stressed the importance of such events:
Each participant of RUN 4 VICTORY contributes to the support of our defenders. We witness that these events unite communities and help us all realize that we are capable of more when acting together. Today’s race in Ladyzhyn was a worthy continuation of the series, and we will not stop at the achieved results.
Ruslan Volkov, director of the “Poultry Complex,” Vinnytsia Poultry Farm LLC, added:
RUN 4 Victory races are more than sports events. They symbolize our unity and joint struggle for the future of Ukraine. The support of our partners and everyone involved allowed us to move forward and help those who defend our country.
One of the oldest race participants was 72-year-old Yakiv Karpenko from the village of Krasnopilka, who ran a distance of 10 kilometers. He has been engaged in athletics for 58 years and impresses with his endurance. It’s not the first time Yakiv Karpenko has participated in the RUN 4 VICTORY race and inspired everyone with his example and energy.
I am grateful that you organized such events that motivate people to practice sports and allow aiding the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I am happy to be a part of such an important movement. If my wife approves, I will gladly go to the race in Kyiv.
RUN 4 VICTORY has already been successfully held in Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Ladyzhyn and attracted hundreds of participants to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The previous stages of the RUN 4 VICTORY quad marathon allowed us to collect more than UAH 1,500 thousand to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Ladyzhyn, the event was also supported by BTU, DTEK, Mykola Kucher, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Regina, flower shop “Cactus,” PE Budtsentr-T, coffee shop “EQUILIBRIUM,” stationery store “Format,” All-Ukrainian physical culture and sports society “Kolos,” Carlsberg, Gazeta.ua, I-Vin, Ladyzhin Info, and TAS life.
