“Valor of the Invincible”: In Myronivka, veterans pulled 36 tons and set a national record of Ukraine

20 october 2025

In Myronivka, Kyiv region, veterans set a national record in invastrong. Eight war veterans with amputations successfully pulled two coupled buses with a total weight of over 36 tons for a distance of 16 meters and 95 centimeters in 34.75 seconds. One of the buses carried 50 passengers during the attempt. The achievement was officially recorded by the National Register of Records of Ukraine.

The event took place on October 19 as part of the inclusive competition Valor of the Invincible, which brought together more than 170 participants — veterans, active service members, community representatives, and employees of MHP. The athletes competed in four disciplines: bench press, rowing, air bike, and kettlebell snatch.

“Such competitions help veterans stay active, rebuild physical fitness, and maintain bonds with their fellow soldiers. This is part of the systematic work we are developing under the MHP Poruch program for service members, veterans, and their families. It’s important for us that everyone feels supported and has space for action, movement, and growth.”

Andrii Yakymchuk, veteran, Head of the MHP Veterans and Military Interaction Team

The event was organized within the framework of the MHP Poruch program — an initiative by MHP, implemented jointly with the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation and supported by the Ukrainian Strongman Federation.

“The atmosphere here is calm yet deeply inspiring. No one competes for numbers — everyone supports one another. It’s a community built on respect, trust, and the feeling that we’re doing something meaningful together.”

Yaroslav Hulenko, veteran, coach at the MZVKK Gym

The event was supported by local enterprises of the MHP Group — the Myronivka Meat Processing Plant “Lehko” and the Myronivka Grain and Feed Mill. They provided technical support, logistics, and catering for participants and guests.

“At MHP, we provide comprehensive support for service members, veterans, and their families — from rehabilitation programs to educational and sports initiatives. Holding such competitions helps veterans recover after service, regain a sense of teamwork, and move forward. This is an important part of the systematic efforts we implement across all company enterprises.”

Maksym Mazur, Director of the Myronivka Meat Processing Plant “Lehko”

“Through the joint efforts of business, the community, and local authorities, we are creating an environment where veterans and service members can develop and recover. Such events demonstrate that supporting veterans is our shared responsibility and collective work — one that brings tangible results for people and communities.”

Dmytro Zhukotanskyi, First Deputy Head of the Myronivka City Council

The chief referee of the competition was Vasyl Virastiuk, World’s Strongest Man champion. For children and families of the participants, sports workshops were held. The day concluded with a communal meal prepared by veteran and chef Yurii Hrytsai.
