10 winners of the “Agrokebety. Grow Your Own” project were awarded grants: 7/10 projects were in the war veterans or members of veterans’ family members category
Agrokebety. Grow Your Own” project initiated by the Agrokebety educational project, the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association (UСAB), and the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation, held a six-month practical training program on business plan development to attract financing and a contest of agri-food business projects with grants. This year, 394 participants in the Agrokebety. Grow Your Own project applied for training and a grant: 46.6% already run their businesses, and 53.4% have an initial business idea. The best 10 business projects have already been selected by the Expert Council to be awarded monetary grants of UAH 200,000 each to implement the related business idea or develop an existing business.
The contest of projects and the Agrokebety. Grow Your Own training course” became the impetus required for the Ukrainian agri-food sector to develop. We received many interesting and promising projects that prove the huge potential of Ukrainian agriculture. The ten winners selected by the Expert Council will be given special attention in the future. Agrokebety. Grow Your Own project will keep going. We plan to keep supporting our students and agri-entrepreneurs on their way to success and also to hold this contest in the future. Still, innovations and young talents are the moving force behind our country’s development

Developed local business, especially in rural areas, is an additional impetus to the community’s institutional capacity. It improves the availability of various goods and services for residents, their quality of life, and well-being due to the growth in employment and, respectively, incomes. For large-scale companies, it means the expansion of business partnerships helping to reduce the cost of production and establishing a successful ecosystem of the local entrepreneurship environment. Therefore, implementation of such grant initiatives as Agrokebety. Grow Your Own to promote local micro-enterprises is a socially useful and strategically important initiative to recover and develop territorial communities in Ukraine

The Agrokebety. Grow Your Own contest is not about support for young professionals only but about an important step to shape the future of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, which is currently crucial for the country’s economic stability. Under the challenges faced by Ukraine, the development of agriculture is the basis for food security and economic recovery. Attracting new professionals to the industry guarantees the development of the agribusiness and its stable prospects for long-term growth
