August saw the launch of the “Cinema for Victory” project which provides support for the Ukrainian military and internally displaced persons.
On August 6, the first screening was held for military personnel of the National Guard of Ukraine. The film “Wind from the East”, which features the famous actor Ada Rogovtseva, examines the resonance of conflict and its impact on the creative mind and features interviews with military personnel.
On August 7 the Cinema for Victory tour visited Ladyzhyn. The film “Shchedryk” directed by Olesya Morhunets-Isayenko was screened to more than 500 The host of the event was the star ambassador of “Cinema for Victory” Bohdan Beniuk.
The film tour “Cinema for Victory” is an initiative of the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ukrainian State Film Agency, Association «Watch Ukrainian» with the support of the MHP-Gromadi Foundation and Deloitte Ukraine, with the support of the Vavilon company, The NGO «UkrCinemaFest», the Union of Entrepreneurs of TV and Film Industry, individual units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine in cooperation with regional military-civilian administrations and the National Police of Ukraine.
