A “Day of the Invincible” sports event took place in Ternopil — bringing together more than 250 veterans and service members, their families, community representatives, business leaders, and local authorities.
Among the coaches were veterans who represented Ukraine at the international Invictus Games. One of them was Valerii Odainyk, a participant of the Winter Hybrid Games in Canada.

“I competed in team sports — wheelchair basketball, sitting volleyball, wheelchair rugby, rowing, and more. People in other countries often forget what our situation is like. Through our example, we show how truly unbreakable our nation is.”
The event was organized within the framework of the MHP Standing Together program — a comprehensive initiative to support service members, veterans, and their families — in partnership with Invictus Games Ukraine, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Stratcom Ukraine NGO, the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, and the Ternopil City Council.
MHP’s participation in the Day of the Invincible continues its partnership with Invictus Games Ukraine as part of the MHP Standing Together program. The initiative covers key areas such as rehabilitation, adaptive sports, psychological support, and veteran reskilling within communities.

“We provide comprehensive support for service members, veterans, and their families — from reintegration activities and the development of rehabilitation services in communities to the growth of adaptive sports. The Day of the Invincible is a vivid example of how these directions come together in practice — when sport becomes part of the recovery process, teamwork, and return to active life. As part of the “MHP Standing Together” program, we have supported more than 250 social initiatives for service members, veterans, and their families, as well as over 210 veteran-owned businesses through grant competitions.”

Participants of the Day of the Invincible tested their strength in adaptive disciplines — including wheelchair basketball and rugby, indoor rowing, cycling, and boccia.
Among the guests were members of the Ukrainian Invictus Games team, for whom sport has become an essential part of both physical and psychological recovery.
“The goal of the Day of the Invincible is to unite veterans and active service members, their families, local authorities, businesses, and communities. We aim to show that sport is a powerful tool for rehabilitation and that the Invictus movement should expand across the regions of Ukraine.”

For MHP, veteran sports are a means of social adaptation, mutual support, and returning to active life.
Each such event creates opportunities for communication, professional growth, and inspiration among veterans.
The partnership with Invictus Games Ukraine is a natural continuation of the MHP Standing Together program — which supports service members and veterans at every stage, from mobilization to reintegration into civilian life.
