A documentary video about the tour of military hospitals by KOZAK SYSTEM Ukrainian band to ensure moral and psychological support was published on social networks. The musicians conducted the tour in cooperation with MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation. In this video, Ivan Lenyo, the vocalist, and other musicians talk about their motivation to perform for the wounded military, the difference of performing for comrades-in-arms close to the front line, and the importance of emotional support for our defenders.

Rehabilitation and treatment in medical facilities is a difficult stage for military personnel. In hospitals, servicemen are far from their families, comrades-in-arms, and combat missions, and they often lack the necessary moral support for recovery.

In winter 2024, to support our defenders in medical facilities, MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation in cooperation with KOZAK SYSTEM Ukrainian band held a People-Titans tour of military hospitals. Supported by donors, the musicians visited 5 military hospitals in Khmelnytsky, Truskavets, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, and Cherkasy within the tour framework.

“Usually, those who undergo treatment in hospitals lack our attention. The day before they were respected and honored for the defense they ensured, while today, here, in hospitals, they somehow became second-class people. Thus, I came up with the initial concept of visiting military hospitals and supporting our defenders who received treatment there”, said Ivan Lenyo, vocalist of Kozak System band.

The tour of military hospitals was named symbolically – People-Titans, based on one of the band’s new songs. All the meetings within the tour have a special format: they are not classical performances or concerts, but more like creative activities focused on dialogue and feedback.

“This tour is intended to show that we value the military not only on the front line but also when they are highly vulnerable – during rehabilitation, treatment, and adaptation to civilian life. Thus, an important point of such creative activities is that the vocalist communicates with the audience not only via music. These activities resonate: we have seen the military sing, read poems, and most importantly, free their emotions”, says Tetiana Volochai, Director of the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation.

“Men and women who have returned experience problems with positive emotions. But they should not be searching for ways to live on and adapt to civilian reality. On the contrary, it is the society that should make their return comfortable. Such activities help during the adaptation,” emphasizes Hanna Ziuzkova, a rehabilitation department psychologist with combat experience, and a participant in the hostilities.

The first tour of military hospitals received a lot of positive feedback both from the military themselves and from medical personnel, who also required moral support. Thus, the presentation of a documentary video about the tour became an announcement of the next visits to the hospitals in Lviv, Cherkassy, Vinnytsia, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv planned by MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation in cooperation with KOZAK SYSTEM.
