The MHP Run4Victory charity race has been organised by MHP for the third consecutive year in partnership with the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation. The sporting partner is New Run.
MHP Run4Victory Cherkasy Marathon will take place on 19–20 September. All proceeds from registrations and donations will be directed towards the development of a new rehabilitation facility at the MSK Dnipro Centre for Physical and Sports Rehabilitation. It is the first and only centre in Ukraine where veterans receive long-term rehabilitation on a continuous basis.

“We provide systematic support to service members at every stage of their journey, both during military service and after they return home. Our programmes focus on rehabilitation, retraining, employment, veteran entrepreneurship, and workplace adaptation. Through our Vidnovleni (‘Recovered’) initiative, we strengthen rehabilitation services in healthcare facilities for service members, veterans, and local communities. Last year alone, we supported 13 medical institutions and enabled 290 healthcare professionals to enhance their qualifications. Through MHP Poruch, our comprehensive support programme for service members, veterans, and their families, we have provided UAH 120 million in financial assistance to more than 21,000 participants. The Cherkasy charity marathon will further expand veterans’ access to high-quality rehabilitation. Every participant will become part of that support,” said Volodymyr Zabela, Director of the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation.

At MSK Dnipro, veterans take part in adaptive sports several times a week while receiving continuous support from sports medicine specialists.
“Rehabilitation is a lifelong process that continues for as long as a person needs it. That is why veterans become members of our club. They work with rehabilitation specialists and undergo comprehensive medical examinations twice a year under a specially developed protocol. They also choose sports that best support their recovery. This long-term model of physical and sports rehabilitation has made our Centre one of the first facilities of its kind in Ukraine,” said Yurii Honcharov, Director of MSK Dnipro.
The effectiveness of this approach is reflected in veterans’ achievements. During his rehabilitation at MSK Dnipro, Vadym Maznichenko earned the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine in para archery and now coaches fellow veterans. One of his trainees, veteran Ivan Kavun, has been undergoing rehabilitation at MSK Dnipro since May 2025.
“After spending a year in rehabilitation programmes across different cities in Ukraine, I returned home to Cherkasy. At MSK Dnipro I began targeted exercises to strengthen my arm, which was severely affected by my injury, as well as rehabilitation for my leg following an above-knee amputation. Regular training is helping me regain the functionality of my left arm,” Ivan explains. “Here, I am surrounded by people who have experienced similar challenges, and their example inspires me to aim higher, compete, and win at national and international competitions. I want every veteran to have access to this kind of comprehensive rehabilitation after the war.”

All funds raised during MHP Run4Victory Cherkasy Marathon will be invested in expanding the Centre and equipping it with modern rehabilitation equipment, ranging from physiotherapy and therapeutic exercise equipment to a shockwave therapy device, a laser therapy system, and other specialised medical technologies.
Earlier this year, participants of the MHP Run4Victory Kyiv Marathon raised UAH 5 million to fund prosthetic treatment for veterans Denys Semenovskyi and Yevhenii Puhachov through Protez Foundation.
MHP Run4Victory Cherkasy Marathon will take place on 19–20 September in the heart of Cherkasy. Participants can choose from 2 km, 5 km, 10 km, half marathon (21 km), and marathon (42 km) distances, as well as children’s races, the inclusive People Titans route, online participation, and a pet-friendly race.
