Pottery Workshop Opens in Vinnytsia Region with Support from the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation

As part of its Time to Act, Ukraine! competition, the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation supported the creation of the KodRemesla art workshop in the Trostianets community. The total project budget was UAH 100,000.

The workshop was established with the support of the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation after the Vinnytsia region project was selected as a winner of the Time to Act, Ukraine! social initiatives competition. The initiative received UAH 100,000 in funding: UAH 50,000 from the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation and another UAH 50,000 from the Trostianets Village Council.

The workshop will host pottery classes, workshops and exhibitions. It is open to children, young people and adults, including people with disabilities, children with special educational needs, service members and internally displaced people.

“We support ideas that originate within communities themselves. When local authorities, municipal institutions and residents work together to bring these ideas to life, the results have a tangible impact on people and create long-term value. It is particularly important for us to support those who are prepared not only to attract grant funding but also to invest in their own ideas,” said Volodymyr Zabela, Director of the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation.

One of KodRemesla’s goals is to introduce pottery to more children and young people. Its founders want to demonstrate that traditional crafts can remain relevant and become part of contemporary life. In addition to regular classes, the workshop will host cultural events for the local community.

“We took a thoughtful approach to developing the project. We asked local residents what kind of space they wanted to see in their community, and they supported the idea of a creative hub: a place for learning, socialising and creativity, where visitors can make their own pieces and find an opportunity to unwind. In this sense, the project also contributes to the well-being of local residents. We look forward to welcoming visitors from neighbouring communities and across Ukraine,” said Oksana Krychkovska, Director of the municipal institution Trostianets Children’s Music School.

The Time to Act, Ukraine! competition supports local social initiatives in communities across Ukraine. In 2026, one of its key priorities is energy security. At the same time, grants continue to support projects focused on culture, education and social cohesion.
