Special project by Liga.net: Ukraine 6,000 years ago — what you didn’t know about the Trypillian culture
In the context of our fight against russian aggression, the Trypillian culture gains particular significance. While it is scientifically inaccurate to claim that modern Ukrainians are direct genetic descendants of the Trypillians, the cultural influence of the latter on the peoples who later inhabited Ukraine is clear. This is especially evident in agricultural practices, which have persisted in the region since the time of the Trypillians.
The Trypillian culture demonstrates that Ukraine has its own unique history that extends deep into the past. This debunks claims of a “shared cradle” with russia and underscores our distinct historical path.
In a project dedicated to Independence Day, LIGA.net, in partnership with international company MHP and its strategic partner, the MHP for Communities Charitable Foundation, will once again explore and highlight the legacy of the Trypillians for Ukrainians.
