Up to UAH 15,000 for professional development as “PROgrowth” launches
On 20 August, the “PROgrowth” grant competition was launched, offering participants up to 15 000 UAH for education and professional development.
This pilot project is being run by the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation in partnership with MHP and will take place in two communities: Myronivka (in the Kyiv region) and Kaniv (in the Cherkasy region). Tetiana Volochai, Chair of the Community Development Council at the MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation, noted that over the past nine years, the Foundation had implemented several programs supporting local social initiatives along with small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). The new competition aims to develop human capital, which is essential for community development.
“Community development cannot happen without the growth of individuals, making training, professional development, and expanding one’s horizons essential. Without personal development, we cannot build the kind of society we want to live in. This is the mission of our Foundation. That’s why we are introducing grants for personal development, giving people the opportunity to learn, improve themselves, and enhance their communities,” said Tetiana Volochai.
The total budget for the competition is UAH 400,000. Participants can receive between UAH 5,000 and 15,000 per project. The grant is available to employees of institutions in the social, humanitarian, medical, and historical-cultural sectors, as well as to individuals and sole proprietors operating in these fields.
Participants can use the funds for training, book publishing, or attending conferences and forums for knowledge exchange.
Applications will be accepted until September 30, with winners announced on October 11.
