Embracing Ukrainian Identity: Preserving Cultural Heritage and National Identity

Ukrainians are currently witnessing a significant surge in patriotism. They are delving into their country’s history, culture, and notable figures. Each day brings new discoveries and a reevaluation of their values. In a collaborative special project by Gazeta.ua and MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation, we explore the quest for Ukrainian identity, a topic that has gained particular relevance amidst a full-scale war. The preservation of cultural heritage is a primary objective for both MHP-Gromadi Charitable Foundation and every Ukrainian. After all, during the full-scale war, it became evident that the adversary seeks to obliterate all things Ukrainian – museums, cultural centers, Ukrainian literature, textbooks, and even revert to Soviet names for streets and settlements.
